Show oo , BATO ECCLES SOME FROM NORTH David Eccles returned last evening from Oregon where ho has been for some days on business He will remain re-main in Ogden a few days, during which timo he will direct building op. orations and definitely arrange for improvements and extensions in the 6treet car system, and also pass upon further plans regarding the reconstruction recon-struction of the Eccles block at the corner of Washington avenue and Twenty-fourth street. Mr Eccles stated to a Standard I representative that he hud nothing to say regarding the decisions recently rendered in some of tho Oregon timber tim-ber cases affecting him. He said that I ho understood that decisions had beon I rendered hut that he had uot beon officially advised lie expects to receive re-ceive advice within the next few days, at which time he may make a atate- I ment. ! This afternoon Mr. Eccles will meet with parties dlrectlv interested in the construction of his new steel building for the purpose of considering consider-ing and passing on certain questions regarding the building oporations. Having beon away from tho city a number of days, Mr, Eccles said that he is not Informed as to the progress made and for that reason he could not tell what action he might take at this time in the extension of the Rapid Transit system or other building build-ing enterprises in which he is interested |
