Show Candidate For CommtssioMOT (Two-Year Term) In announcing my candidacy for Commissioner, I do not understand un-derstand that the liquor question is an issue in this campaign ; that question was settled by the voters of Ogden at the special election held last June and any deviation from the present regulation would not be just or fair without further action by the people. I am satisfied that what the people want is just what the commission commis-sion form of government is intended in-tended to ghre a careful and economical eco-nomical management of the city's business the same that a careful business man would givq to his own affairs. Partisan politics has no more place in the management of a city's business than of a railroad, a bank, or any large mercantile or manufacturing institution. Tho commissioners should be looked upon- as business managers man-agers for the cifcy, rather than in the light of partisan office holders. hold-ers. J. C.
