Senator Crane of Massachusetts oved that the chairman appoint the commit- toe Mr. Lowden suggested that this would overcome Senator Borah's oh- lection. "It will not overcome my ob- lection," retorted tho Idaho senator, "but It is the course the committee nrobablv will follow."
