President Browning was of the opinion that It would be a good thing for tho outgoing council and for tho Incoming commission to know "whore they are at" at the time of the change The auditor reported tbat she had been renuested by the com missioners-elect, to have tho books ready for the change, and that in order or-der to accomplish that It would be necessary for her to have extra help The council ordered that the auditor get the extra help at a reasonable compensation Heretofore the auditor has not made out the annual report at the exact closing of tho year, but has taken time to prepare the accounting without with-out extra effort, but this year, Inasmuch Inas-much as there Is to be a complete change of administration and n change In the form of the city government, it was thought proper by the city fathers that tho accounts for the year should bo submitted at the earliest possible time. The light committee reported that an Investigation had been made regarding re-garding the charges that the Mer- Chants' Lleht & Power company had failed to furnish the required number of free lights In the cltv park, and that tho company Is ready to put in tho lights as soon as tho nark commission com-mission shall designate the places where the lights shall be Installed The committee recommended that tho IIIUllL"! The waterworks' payroll, amounting to S27C 60, was allowed and tho citv Rndltor was ordered to draw a warrant for the sum.
