Show INSANE MEN Dash Away From the Rescuers, Screaming- Wildly. Briceville, Tenn., Dec 12. Spurred on by last night's discovery ot sur-j sur-j vlvors of Saturday's disaster In the I Cross Mountain coal mine, lresh res-j res-j cue crews went into the cross-entries this morning, backing and digging with redoubled energy. The only reward, re-ward, however, was "the discovery of a corpse-strewn chamber, far back '.n the mine Six bodies were recovered. Two of the six wore Identified. One was Joseph McQueen, a widower. The other, Tate Vallalee, had a wife and four children. All night long men ot the rescue squad have been chasing tho maniacs, but just as soon as would-be rescuers got close to their trail, the madmen would dash away, scrouming wildly. The maddened miners are bclclvcd to bo John Duff and John Smith Nowa of their plight Is being kept from their families who have ghen them up for dead. A feature of the rescue work is aversion of tho miners to digging graves. Director Chandler of the rescue res-cue work was compelled to go amons the miners and plead wjth them bo-Toro. bo-Toro. a sufficient number volunteered for grave digging.
