Show NATIVE SONS TOJNHSANIZC Salt Lake, Dec. 23. Three thousand cards were distributed yesterday calling call-ing attention to tho meeting to be held on tho evening of January 2 to per- j feet tho organization of tho Native Sons of Utah. The meeting will bo held In the courtroom of Judge J. J. ' "Whitaker in the citv and counts I building The temporary organization of tho I society was effected at a meeting held Wednosday evening. At that time Parley P. Jensen was the temporary chairman and Joseph Young tho tem- i ijuiaiy secretary. The society has adopted a Blogan, "All Other Things Being Equal,. Wo. Are for Utah Men." In explanation of the objects of the society, Mr. Jensen said last night: "There isn't going to bo anything narrow or bigoted about tho organization. organ-ization. There has been a feeling for a long time, and we think the feeling is substantiated by the facts, that Utah-born men do not got a square deal in a good many ways. In fact, it seems to militate against a man to be a native of Utah. Surely such a condition should not be, and wo hope to bring about a change If we can." Mr. Jensen sajs that all native-born native-born Utahns are "invited to attend tho meeting on January 2. oo |
