Park and spent some time in conversation with these officials The visitors compose a special commission from their country coun-try and will spend a week In this state. W. E. Cook, who is an accomplished accom-plished linguist, conversed freely In Spanish with members of the party. President Widtsoe and Professor L. A. Merrill of the Stato Agricultural college are In the city to meet the Uruguayan commission and will address ad-dress the visitors Friday afternoon at the Hotel Utah, ghlng them valuable Information on the subjects tho are studying. Another party and seven delegates will arrive today and join the commission in their work in this state. Inspection of tho dry farm experiment ex-periment station at Nephl and the irrigation ir-rigation project in Strawberry valley will be made by the party. Two government gov-ernment engineers and graduate students stu-dents of the University of Uruguay make up the party. Those who called yesterday on the goernor and mayor were Hugo A. Surraco Canters, Eduardo Llovet, Rafael Ra-fael Sasaravilla, Alberto Goyena, Ar-turo Ar-turo Abella and Joaquin D. Quintella. |
