I Wagstaff stopped Ills car and pick- 1 1 ed up Miss Vlllet Sho was uncon- I sclous Ho took her to tho emergen- I E cy hospital at tho city Jail, where Drs. M R. W. Ashley and H. N. Mayo attond- i ed her. Later she was removed to tho ' Holy Cross hospital. Sho Is not hurt H seriously. fi "I was coming west at a fair rate H of speed when tho girl stepped off the K car aud Into my path," said Wag- m staff. "I could havo gone by without touching her if the wheels had not skidded. Tho rear end of the car swung clear round as I attempted to turn out and it was only tho fender that struck her." |
