Show DEATHS AND I FUNERALS JV1RS. ANNA JORGENSEN. A comforting and appropriate funeral fu-neral service was held In the Third ward chapel yesterday aftornoon over the remains of the late Anna Jorgen-sen. Jorgen-sen. Bishop WJlliam D. Van Dyke, Jr., conducted the services. The attendance of friends and relatives rela-tives and the many beautiful floral offerings bore sincere testimony of the respect and esteem in which Mrs. Jorgensen was held by all who knew her. After tho Invocation by Elder Alex. A. Moyes, eulogies on the good life and character of the deceased were spoken by President Georglnla Marriott of the Stake Relief society, Elders Gilbert Torgorson, IL H. Shurt-liff Shurt-liff and Bishop William D. Van Dyke, Jr. Each speaker told of her beautiful character, sympathetic nature and firm faith in the gospel of Christ Numerous Nu-merous occasions on which these attributes at-tributes woro shown were recounted by each speaker in words of sincere appreciation for their opportunity of association with her. Much comfort was given by them to tho husband and children in the promise of a reunion re-union with their lovod one in tho world to come if they would follow in her footsteps. The following" musical selections were rendered at tho service: Duet, "Scatter Seeds of Kindness," by Mrs. Stella Ballinger and Mrs. Emma Greenwell, representing tho ward relief re-lief society; solo, "One Sweetly Solemn Sol-emn Thought," by Stolla Wright; duet, "Sometime, Somewhere," by Myrtle Ballinger and Stella Wright; solo, "After the Toll and Trouble," by Mrs. Mary Farley; boIo, "Heaven Is My Home," by Myrtle Ballinger. The benediction was offered by Elder Wade Joyce. At tho conclusion of tho service the funeral cortego proceeded to the City cemetery, whero the remains of !Mrs. Jorgensen were laid to rest in a grave dedicated by Elder Elijah Larklu. RENADA MEYER. Bishop Miles J. Jones conducted the services over the remains of Renada, the sixteen-year-old daughter of Frederick and Alico Meyer, at the Seventh ward meeting house yesterday yester-day afternoon. Mrs. Emily P. and Miss Julia Maddock rendered the duet "Softly nnd Tenderly Jesus Is Calling," Miss M. Read sang "Sometime, Somewhere"; Mrs. Emily P. Maddock, "One Kindly Solemn Thought;" and a duet bv Mrs. Sadie Taylor and Miss A. Dean, "My Jesus As Thou Wilt." The speakers were John Wilson, Asel Farr, Reverend Frank Brainard, pastor of tho Congregational church, and Bishop Miles Jones. They spoke of tho 'puie, sweet life of tho deceased de-ceased and comforted the heartbroken parents, who recently lost their nineteen-year-old daughter, her death having hav-ing occurred only last September, A great sympathy was shown for the bereaved parents by tho large attendance at the services. Six young students from the Ogden High school noted as pallbearers and many of her classroom associates attendod tho funeral fu-neral services iu a body. Among the many floral tributes was a wreath fioin the High school. At tho conclusion of the services the remains were placed In their last resting place In tho Ogden city cemetery. MRS. HAZEL GARNER, The remains of Mrs. Hazel W. Garner, Gar-ner, whose death occurred at the Deo Memorial hospital Thursday, will be laid to rest in tho Mountain View ci'mctery tomonow afternoon following follow-ing funeral serviaes at the homo of her parents, 2160 Polk avenue, at 2 o'clock. Friends desiring to view the remains re-mains may do so between the hours of 1 and 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. LLOYD COMBE. The attendance was very large and interment was made in the Ogden City cemetery. MRS. SARAH A. RANDALL. ' The remains of Mrs. Sarah A. Randall, Ran-dall, who died in Santa Monica, Cal., arrived in this city at noon yesterday, accompanied by members of the family. fam-ily. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock this aftornoon in the Fourth ward meeting house. Interment will take place in the Ogden Og-den City cemetery. |
