Twenty-four mem-mors mem-mors of the faculty, all of whom bo-long bo-long to the Jesuit order, were summarily summar-ily aroiiBcd. by the alarm and appeared ap-peared in their night clothes when the firemen arrived. Tho fire started on tho third floor and, despite the ef- forts of nearly the entire fire department depart-ment was not under control for two hours All the members of the faculty fac-ulty escaped Injury, but one fireman, Job Flanagan, was hurt by a falling colling. The financial loss Is covered by insurance in-surance Crelghton college was established es-tablished and maintained by a $2,-000,000 $2,-000,000 endowment of the late Count John A Crelghton, and Is conducted by the Jesuit order. It is the largest larg-est Institution ot the kind in the west. |
