The last important action of the grand lodge of Elks, which has been in convention conven-tion here all this week, was to abolish abol-ish absolutely all horseplay and hazing haz-ing in the Initiatorj rites of the order. This onds a fight that has been waged for a decade by a constantly growhig element in the organization, which contended that the horseplay deterred many men from presenting themselves as members who would hae been towers of strength to the order. nn
