Show Three Stakes to Hold Quarterly Conferences Three stakes, Logan, Smithfield and Hyrum, are holding important quarterly conferences Saturday and Sunday, and various leaders urge a good attendance at all sessions. Logan stake meet will open Saturday at 6:30 p. m. in the stake house when members of the stake presidency presi-dency and the twelve ward bishops convene for a welfare wel-fare meeting. At 8 p. m. in the stake house, a stake Priesthood leadership meeting will oe held. All stake presidency members, the high council, clerk, Melchizedek priesthood committee, presidents of the Seventies, stake mission president and president of the high priests quorum are urged to attend. First general session is slated for Sunday at 10 a. m. in the tabernacle. Visiting authorities will be Joseph F. Merrill, member of the Council of Twelve; President Presi-dent John H. Taylor, First Council of Seventy, and Sterling H. Nel. son, welfare committee. Music will be furnished by the Second ward choir under direction of Mrs. Laura Shumway. Sunday pt 2 p. m. a stake Priesthood conference will be held in the tabernacle, for all members holding the Priesthood. At 2 p. m. in the First ward chapel, a special spe-cial mother-daughters program will be presented. Concluding general session at 8 p. m. will feature special instruc. tions by the visiting authorities, according to President C. W. Dunn. Hyrum stake conference will be held in the Hyrum Third ward chapel, according to President Edwin Ed-win Clawson. Charles A. Callis, member of the Council of Twelve, and Clyde C. Edmunds, general welfare committeeman, will represent repre-sent the general authorities. x Schedule of meetings was listed as follows: Saturday at 6:30 p.m. special meeting for stake presidency presi-dency and ten ward bishops; at 8 p. m., stake Priesthood leadership leader-ship meeting. Sunday. at 9 a. m., general Priesthood meeting, with a mothers moth-ers and daughters program at the same hour. General sessions are at 10:30 a. m. Sunday and 2 p. m., with concluding con-cluding , program under direction of the Relief Society stake board at 8 p. m. Anthone R. Ivins representing the First Council of Seventy, and W. E. Ryberg representing the General Welfare committee will be in attendance. The conference will emphasize Seventies and M!on-ary M!on-ary work. Stake Welfare meeting will be held at 6:30 P. M. Saturday. Satur-day. The stake presidency, the bishops of each ward or a counselor coun-selor in the bishopric should be ' in1 attendance. Stake Priesthood meeting will be held Saturday at 8:00 p. m. All members of the priesthood, both Melchizedek and Aaronic, should be in attendance. During this same hour, the stake Primary organization will conduct a program for all the mothers and daughters of the stake in the Smithfield First ward chapel. The Priesthood leadership meeting will be held Sunday morning at 9:00 A.
