Show Rfrp!l n"1?'1"! Marked change is noted in the selection of sheep in Utah during the past few years, Professor Alma Al-ma Esplin, extension specialist at the U. S. A. C. reports. Sheep are now being chosen for fineness and density of wool as the market demands wool of this quality while wrinkly woolcd shoep were selected in the past. Smooth wooled rams have been brought into the state and through crossbreeding, smooth-fleeced sheep are being developed. Faster progress pro-gress along this line can be made if the wrinkled-fleeced lambs are sold each year, Professor Esplin explained. The Rambouillet breed of sheep is used in Utah because of its hardiness, its herding instinct, and mutton quality. This breed has been much Improved and the feeder feed-er lamb of todr.y is of better quality than the lamb of 15 year? a?o.
