Show Injured in France Private First Class Boyd Karren, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. ' H. S. Karren, Lewiston, was wounded seriously in action July 7 in France, the war department informed in-formed his parents last week. PFC Karren, who has been in the service 11 months, was serving serv-ing with an infantry unit when he was struck by a piece of shrapnel shrap-nel which lodged in his jaw. He is reported recovering satisfactorily satisfactor-ily in an English hospital, and has been awarded the purple heart medal. |
