Show Jean Perkins in Recital Sunday Miss Jean Perkins, talented young cellist and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Perkins of Smith-field, Smith-field, will be presented in a recital re-cital in the Smithfield Stake House, Sunday, August 20, at 5 p. m. Miss Perkins is a junior student at the Brigham Young University and has for the past four summers sum-mers studied under Oliver Edel, cellist for the famous Roth String Quartet. Previous to her study with Edel she was a student of Robert Fisher of Salt Lake City and Miss Marian Beers at the U. S. A. C. During a part of the summer of 1943 she played in the East as cellist in the Kryl Symphony Sym-phony Orchestra. She will be assisted in the re-Vital re-Vital by Miss Lucille Rolance and Miss Marian Robertson, pianist. Miss Roylance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Roylance of Smith -field, graduated from the U. S. A. C. this spring and is at present studying piano under Irving Was- serman. She is well known in . im-sical circles in Cache Valley. Miss Robertson is the daughter of Mr .and Mrs. Leroy J. Robertson Robert-son of Provo. Her father is an outstanding out-standing violinist, composer, and nn.mber of the BfU faculty. Marian Mar-ian began her maiiwi studies un-cV.i un-cV.i her father anri has recently studied under Amsor Foldcs, Hungarian Hun-garian pianist anl member of the vifiting faculty oZ the; BYU during dur-ing the Provo Mu .c.i revivals. r:.e"f talented you.i.c ;ii".i;ts will present the owing pri'.am to which the -public is invited to attend.
