Show Walker Returns From Conference Agricultural prospects in the post war period is dependent to a large degree on employment of labor in industry and the national policy in regard to international trade, Dr. R. H. Walker, director of the Utah Experiment station, declared Wednesday after returning return-ing from' a conference of the southwest intermountain regional postwar planning committee held in Denver, Colo. Dr. Walker observed that during the war periods, American farmers farm-ers have produced a greater volume vol-ume of food and fibre than in any previous year. "It appears likely that they will be able to produce on a fairly high plane after the war provided favorable international relations are developed," devel-oped," he said. Dr. Walker is Utah representative representa-tive to the committee and is chairman chair-man of the Utah Agricultural postwar planning committee. Delegates Dele-gates for Utah, Colorado. Arizona and New Mexico attended the two day conference. |
