Show . 1 1 OP A PLACES MAXIMUM ON 1944 APPLE CROP FROM F. O. B. POINTS Maximum prices have been fixed for the 1944 apple crop, with a new amendment establishing prices for the 1944 crop of fresh apples for table use sold by sellers other than retailers issued recently by the OPA, Dr. Arvil, horticulturist horticult-urist of the Utah Extension Service, Ser-vice, reports. The amendment will result in a national average price which consumers may have to pay for a pound of apples at approximately 10 Vk cents. Last year the average j price paid by consumers over the I season for fresh apples was 10 , j cents per pound. The new prices f. o. b. country shipping point are as follows: August 20, October 30 selling period, $2.75 per bushel graded and packed, $2. 36 graded bulk, $2.12 ungraded in containers; November 1-15, $2.85 graded and packed, $2.45 graded bulk, $2.21 j ungraded in containers; November Novem-ber 16-30, $2.90 graded and packed, pack-ed, $2.50 gradaed bulk, $2.25 ungraded un-graded in containers; December 1-January 1-January 15, $2.98 graded and packed, $2. 59 graded bulk; $2.34 ungraded in containers; January 6-February 5 ,$3.01 grade and packed, $2.63 graded bulk, $2.39 ungraded in containers; February 6-March 5, $3.04 graded and packed, pack-ed, $2.65 graded bulk, $2.41 ungraded un-graded in containers. |
