A Check on j Clothing Stores J Clothing stores throughout the state are being checked by vol-; vol-; unteer price panel assistants of the office of price administration j to determine if retailers are com-I com-I plying with OPA's price and marking requirements on cotton j clothing, John F. Betts, price liai- son officer, said today. "The project covers adult's and children's cotton apparel produced under war production board orders ord-ers and pre-ticketed by the manufacturer man-ufacturer with the retail ceiling j price," Mr. Betts said, adding that retailers will be required to rectify violation of tagging or pricing provisions. Retailers are responsible for tagging items that manufacturers have neglected to pre-ticket, stat-ing stat-ing that OPA retail ceiling price, war production board order under which the garment was produced and the lot number of brand name, the officer said. |
