Show At 11 50 Saturday night Night rVatch-man rVatch-man Rurgess discovered smoke issuing from the front transom of Kolitz's Kandy Kitchen, 48 West First South-Salt South-Salt Lake city. The smoke was so dense and dissagreeable that it was some time before the exact location of the blaze could be determined, but in a couple of hours the fire was under control, and with but little damage to the building. Tiie fire originajed in the basement of tue -candy kin-ben. near where the candy boiler was situated, fhe basement base-ment was badly burned, and the ice cream parbra wrecked. Eolitz claims to have had about $7,000 worth of goods in his store and rooms up stairs which 1:0 occupied with his family. On these there was an insurance of $4,500. His household goods were not damaged and there was considerable property in the store saved, so it ia fair to presume that he w ill be fully reimbursed by the insurance in-surance carried. Webb & Feveryearfs damage is small, and they carry $2,000 Insurance. The building, which is owned by William Langton, can be repaired re-paired for $1,500 and he carries $10,000 insurance.
