Show Mr. L. A. Tomsik came home from Salt Lake Saturday where he has been staying with his son. Harold, who underwent an operation at the Holy Cross hospital Tuesday of last week for appendicitis. He reports the little lit-tle fellow getting along nicely. Mrs Tomsik left that evening to be with her son until he recovers sufficient to be brought home. - i Miss Berniece Dotson of Miners ville. who went to the Holy Cross hospital hos-pital at Salt Lake Friday of last weel to be operated on for appendicitis was operated on the next morning snd it was found that the appendi: ' had broken. A drainage pipe was 1n i serted and everything done tha could be done to save the young girls ' life. Word comes that she is getting along nicely and they look for speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bowen and daughter dau-ghter Laura and Mada of Bunkerville Nevada, came over from Beaver Saturday Sat-urday afternoon. Their daughter, Lau ra left on the evening train for Salt Lake City, From there she goes to California on a mission for the L D S church. They were accompanied by Miss Irma Keiner of Littlefleld and Mrs. Owen Grover and daughter Olive. Ol-ive. Dr. Swanson is getting along as rapidly as can be expected and hopes to be able to return home soon. A number of his Milford friends who-have who-have been in the city this week have called on him and found him very cheerful. Mr. and Mrs. D R Roper, and Miss Mary left last week on a visit to their old home in Manhattan, Kansas. Miss Charlotte Yynch is taking Miss Roper's Ro-per's place as time-keeper at the shops during her absence. Did you see what appeared on the hotel register. Well it was this: J. A. McKay and wife, Milford. Well it has surely happened. Mack has been caught at last by a charming, beautiful beau-tiful woman Mrs. McKay has gone East to adjust some business matters mat-ters and will soon return to take up her abode in Milford. You know, Mack, everybody in Milford extends to you and your wife, a prosperous j and happy future. N. B. Neilsen of Neilsen garage at Beaver, was in town Thursday and made a pleasant call at the News office. of-fice. He and Mr. James Lang of Milford Mil-ford spent Friday and Saturday of last week at Merchant's valley in the Beaver mountains, making the trip in a Ford car over that splendid road that has been under construction this summer. Mr. Neilsen says they made it with perfect ease and spent two . delightful days fishing. While there they saw two fine bucks which they have corraled and expect to go back i the last of November when the deer season opens for hunting and get them. He states that the Puffer Lake ! road is now completed in fine shape , as far as Three Creeks. Some work is needed to be done on the canyon road to the Telluride, but it will not take very long or much money to put it in fine shape, so that anyone wishing to spend a delightful day. may leave Beaver early in the morning morn-ing and spend the day at Merchant's Valley or Three Creeks and bo home at night in time to do the chores. |
