Show U. C. CO-ED WINS HEARST AWARD Research work in chemistry and zoology will be carried on by Maxine Bardsley, senior student at the University Uni-versity of California, who has received re-ceived a Phoebe Hearst scholarship. Miss Bardsley is completing her senior year and shortly will begin graduate work in the department of zoology. She intends to specialize in heredity and genetics, working under un-der the direction of Professor S. J. Holmes, well known authority on these subjects. Prevented from attending the university uni-versity last year because of illness, Miss Bardsley is doing extra study to enable her to start graduate work by next fall. She is a graduate of Salt Lake City High School, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bardsley, living in Milford, Utah. San Francisco Fran-cisco Examiner. |
