Show Social Events j SWASTIKA CLUB MEETS The regular monthly meeting of' the Swastika club was held Thursday night in the AI. E. church. ! i The affair was a get-acquainted: party in honor of the new pastor, Rev: Homer Root. Mrs. Root and Mrs. Root Sr. .Members of the club and a number of townspeople were the guests. About seventy-five were in attendance. attend-ance. A short program was given as follows: Trombone solo C. -v. Bailey, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Bailey. Vocal solo Mrs. Lee Gray. Violin solo O. F. Hubbell, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Ray Outzen. The president of the club, Fred Cottrell, made a short speech introducing intro-ducing the new minister, Rev. Root who responded with a few well chosen chos-en remarks. The remainder of the evening ..wa.) spent in games and music led by the president, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Joe Tribole. It was decided to change the regular regu-lar meeting of the club to the third Thursday night in the month, to avoid conflict with tne Parent- Teach ers association. Pi-D and coffee were -served by the committee, Mrs. Wilcox chairman, Mrs. Harten, Mrs. Gardner, Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Dewey and Mrs. Korns and Mrs. Vest. - SATURDAY DINNER BRIDGE Mrs. Rolf BeiMingmo entertained the Saturday Dinner Bridge club at her home Monday evening. After a three-courea dinner, served at seven o'clock, the evening r.-as spent in the playing of bridge. Mrs. Morley received re-ceived the prize for high score anu -Mrs. Fernley for low score. The guests were: Mrs. Newhart, Mrs. Morley, Mrs. Sloan, Mrs. Geo. Fernley, Mrs. Geo Harris, Mrs. Par-rish Par-rish and Mrs. Lewis. D. D. 9. CLUB, The: D. D. S. club was entertained Wiednesday afternoon by Mrs Walter Griffiths. The afternoon wasi very pleasantly spent with needle, work. A delicious lunch was served to, Mrs Ros Lang, Mrs. Maurice Johnson, Mrs. Wrarren Atkin, Mrs. Steve . Harris, Har-ris, .Mrs. Sam Hickman and the hostess's host-ess's mother, Mrs. Joe Hickman. PRIMARY" OFFICERS MEET The L: D. S. Primary officers were entertained Monday night at the home of Mrs. Wm. Graff. Tne evening was spent in making plans and outlines for primary work. -Refreshments wero s-erved to Mrs. Henry Bcnvman, Mrs. L. R.. Rohihson. Mrs. Ralph Quayle, Mrs. C. S. Ford Mrs. Fay Hickman, Airs. Scovel, Airs. C. D. Walker, Mrs. Jack McKeon and Miss Ardath Johnson. John-son. JOLLY STITCHERS The Jolly Stitcsers club was entertained enter-tained Thursday afternoon by Mrs. Karl Levi at her home on Hill street. A very pleasant afternoon was spent and a delicious luncheon served. Mrs. Harvey Hedges and Mrs. Frank Slev art were guests in addition to tne regular members, Mrs. F. Levi, Mrs. A. Johnson, Mrs. Scott Tanner. Mrs. Dave Tanner, Mrs. Win. Miller, Mrs. Jack Pitchforth, Mrs. Jack Weston, Mrs. Ralph Quayle, Mrs. E. H. Bird, Mrs. N. C. Schow and Mrs. William Fernley. CATHOLIC LEAGUE ENTERTAINS The- ladies of the Catholic league gave a card party Tnursday night at the home of Mrs. J. B. Rudert. The party was given for the ladies who assisted the league with donations or isewing for the bazaar held this week Mrs. C. I. Himstreet, or Salt Lake, was an out of town guest. -Four ta bles of players enjoyed the game oi "500" prizes being awarded to Mrs. Wm. Morley, 1st, Mrs. O. R.
