S St , i ' V $ I 8 WE EXPECT the hats of midsuhi-mer midsuhi-mer to be picturesque that is their definite characteristic and they are not disappointing any expectations this year. A special vogue for large hats, with trimmings of organdie flowers flow-ers and graceful ostrich, and the general gen-eral favor in which trimmed millinery Is held, make the way of the large hat lead to the picturesque. Small hats arrive at the same goal by reflecting reflect-ing In their shapes periods in history, by their management of color and by various subtle, but effective means. Four hats that reflect this mood for hats with a flavor of other days among their intangible assets, are presented in the group pictured here.
