Show GOOD TREATMENT IN MILFORD The following was written to this office by two tramp printers who stopped over in Milford enrou te" to Los Angeles. Los Angeles, California, May 4 Dear Friends Am dropping you a few lines as we promised, to let you know we arrived ar-rived safely in LosAngeles. We will certainly not forget the treatment we received while in Milford. As you know we intended to leave there that afternoon, but luck was against us, for when we tried to make the limited', W.' Policeman was on the job a11'' chased us off. Never-the les-i, he later proved tO' be our good friend. While walking up and down the streets late that afternoon, we met several other boys who were seeing the country on the side door pull-mans. pull-mans. We talked to them and finally fi-nally the bunch of us pooled our funds to buy a potato supper; hut the stores were closed and we eouhl-n't eouhl-n't buy any potatoes, so luck was again against us. until that thoughtful thought-ful buddy of mine remembered he had seen some men unloading potatoes po-tatoes that afternoon. We went down to the cars, accompanied by Mr. Policeman, Po-liceman, and picked up all the potatoes po-tatoes that were laying loose there. We decided to go to the outskirts of town and fry them, but friend ofiirrr offered to turn the jail over t oils and we accepted without hesitation. After supper, we kept the tre going go-ing until about five in the morning, when our long expected pullnmn arrived ar-rived and from Milford we departed. depart-ed. What becamo of the rest of the gang, I do not know, but my budd starts to school here to-morrow aiv' I have a steady position, beginning Monday, so we have sidetracked our traveling uniforms and put on our working duds.
