Johnson, the automobile man was in Milford this week. Dick Lynn and Earl Tebbs are here from Panguitch. H. B. Robinson, a prominent sheep man of Paragoonah, has benu iu Ni.'ford frequent of late. AIcBonald, the eye specialist, spec-ialist, has been in our midst for several sev-eral days. J. E. Long and J. W. Douglas of McGill. Nevada, arrived here Monday Mon-day and spent a day or so. . Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Bates and Mrs. Vail M. Pittman of Ely. Nevada were here yesterday. The regular monthly meeting of the Milford Business Womens' club, will be held Monday night, April 19, at 8:30 in the Atkin hotel. All members mem-bers are urged to attend. Mrs. Vernon Johnson went to Salt Lake City to attend the concert of tilt famous pianiat, Paderewski. Our old-time friend Christie Lee, now of Las Vegas, was here visiting for several days this past week. Mrs. F. W. Gospill left Sunday for LaVerne, Calif., called tilers by the serious illness of her mother. Mrs. E. R. Johnson of Salt Lake paid her husband a visit this week Mr. Johnson is in the employ of tin Union Pacific. Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Quate of Garrison, Garri-son, made a trip to our city thh week. Mr. Quate is a prominent bus iness man of Garrison. Mrs. T. J. Burke came over from Beaver on Sunday to visit her husband, hus-band, who is in the employ of the Martin Oarage. Morgan of Ogden, were transact ing business here on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. A. Stephenson and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Oscar Stephenson were here Tuesday on their way on a trip east. S. O. Malley, George Courtright C. E. Wymer and E. W. Robinson all of Salt Lake City, were here on Wednesday. Mrs. Alice DeWitt of Marysvale who has been visiting her granddaughter, granddau-ghter, Mrs. Ray OuUen, left Monday Mon-day to visit in McGill, Nevada. She will return to Milford next week. John McKeon, who had been spending a few days with his family returned Monday to Caliente, where he is u special officer for the Union Pacific. Garratt Wilkin, general manage-, of the Moscow mine, came down from Salt Lake City Friday. He was accompanied by a well known geologist. geolo-gist. The Catholics will hold mass in the I. O. O. F. hall next Wednesday morning at nine o'clock. Father Edwards Ed-wards of Las Vegas will arrive on No. 2 6 Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Emma Segmiller of Cedar City is visiting her sister, Mrs. Jane C. Heaton, at the home of Mr. anc Mrs. Terence Heaton. The Heaton family and their guest visited in Beaver Sunday. Prof and Mrs. Johnson of Bea ver were dinner guests Friday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Johnson'! cousin, Mrs. Terence Heaton. Bill Martin has had several sev-eral men raking, cleaning and burning burn-ing all trash that has accumulated the past year. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Clay and Mrs L. S. Schumacher motored over from Garrison last Sunday for a visit at the home of their son and nephew, L. G. Clay. Mr. Clay returned home after a short visit but the ladies remained re-mained for a longer time. Mr. and Mrs, Tom Gadberry returned re-turned Thursday of last week fio'ii Los Angeles, where they were ealb; by the death of a nephew. They brought back with them the lalt.-r'E little daughter, to make her home with them. The American Legion auxiliary ul Beaver,, will give a May Da dfoce iu the Beaver opera house, Friday April 30th. Waddoups received a letter this week from his brother, Glenn, reporting re-porting that he is getting along very nicely. Mr. Waddoups went to Salt Lake several months ago and entered enter-ed a hospital there for a serious operation op-eration and has been there ever since. This is the first letter he has been able to write. The Service Star Legion will meet Friday afternoon, April 30th In the Odd Fellows' hall for their regular .monthly meeting. All members or those eligible for membership are urged to be present. Mrs. John McKeon, who has beer Milford's very efficient town clerk for several years, tendered her resig nation to the town board at the regular reg-ular meeting Thursday night, to take effect May 1st. Mrs. McKeor and family will move to Caliente after af-ter the close of school. Mrs. Charles Kelley and son Ernest, Er-nest, went to Salt Lake City Thursday Thurs-day night to attend the funeral of Lester Hartman. The young man who was a son of an old friend o' Mrs. Kelley's. was drowned Thursday Thurs-day of last week at Devil's Slide The body was not recovered until Monday. |
