Show 'High School News and Honor Roll for Last Semester The student body gave evidence of greatly enjoying the last two assemblies. assem-blies. The first program was arranged arrang-ed by a committee as was the second one. Mr. Joe Smith gave an interesting interest-ing and beneficial address on the service ser-vice which a bank performs for any community. Many intricate problems prob-lems of conducting a bank were ex--posed and the students know now how their savings are used as well hh other duties of a bank. The next number was encored twice' and Mrs. Keith Erickson left everyone with the conviction that she should become an opera star. The second program arranged for Arbor day left the audience in a pleasant, laughable mood. The orchestra or-chestra contributed a selection for the introductory number. Mr. Courtright, the speaker of the assembly, gave a highly interesting and entertaining discourse on the greatest little asset to make the world go 'round. After such a convincing con-vincing argument everyone there was quite willing 'to agree, and we think he showed a mighty clear insight in-sight of life and human beings, when he closed the subject, "Harmony." "Har-mony." We sincerely hope that the towns people can enjoy the pleasure of hearing Mr. Courtright speak. You will surely miss something if you never, get nn opportunity, A selection from the glee club was received with applause. Mr. Cottrell, as he always doe, credited himself with laurels in his recitation of two poems. The last number was also encored and the school should enjoy hearing hear-ing Miss Vera McAllister sing iis-aiu. We should like to have tho townspeople towns-people attend our "Hill-fo" meetings. meet-ings.
