Show SOCIETY NOTES A farewell handkerchief party was given last Thursday at the home of i Mr. and Mrs. Fred Levi for their , daurrhtcr Phyllis, who left Saturday ! to attend school in Salt Lake City. A j delicious luncheon was served at i 10 o'clock by Mrs. Levi, assisted by ; Betty Murdock and Dorothy Levi, to the following guests: Verna Bird, Olive Johnson, Hannora Hutchins, ' Estelle Xebeker. Anne Xebeker. Eva . Coleman, Loretta Murdock, Myrtle Osborn, Mildred Killam, Dorothy Murdock, Mur-dock, Elma Hickman, Bill Cochrane, Lyle McGhie, Floyd Patterson, Max Root, Glen Stonehocker, Allen Tanner, Aaron Jensen, Jack Turley, Ralph Tanner, Lawrepce Webb, Roy Van Wormer, Dern Osborn, Clark Kesler, Milton Hearn, Jack Ahem, and the guest of honor, who received many beautiful handkerchiefs. A bridal shower was held Thursday :. I Jan. 27th, in honor of Mrs. Inez Hamblin, at the home of Mrs. J. C. i Jeffers. The evening was spent j playing "500." First prize was award-j award-j ed to Mrs. Selma Carlson and consolation, con-solation, to Mrs. B. Hutchins. A dainty luncheon was served at midnight. mid-night. The bride received many ; useful and beautiful gifts. The Pierian club met at the home of Mrs. Roy White Saturday. The following program was given: Mrs. D. A. Baxter, English lession; Miss Ardath Johnson, Current events: Mrs. Les Clay, an article from the Mentor. At the close of the evening a dainty luncheon was served to the following members: Mesdames D. A. Baxter, T;. G. Clav. Amenda White, A. C. Xebeker, Otto Steenbock, and Miss Ardath Johnson. Miss Lola Morris entertained a few of the young girls at her home Monday Mon-day night with a waffle supper. The girls amused themselves by dancing and a very pleasant time was had. Waffles were served to the following: r Mildred Killam, Eva Coleman, June Carter, Myrtle Osborn and Lola i Morris. The Saturday Evening Bridge club was entertained by Mrs. C. C. Sloan. A hot dinner was served at the hotel Atkin, after which the guests sojourned sojourn-ed to Mrs. Sloan's home and spent an interesting evening playing bridge. Mrs. Robinson winning guest prize and Mrs. Sloan, prize for high score. Those present were Mesdames Rolf Bellingmo, Geo. Fernlev. Cha'-'es Moore, Charles Newhart, Frank Calloway, Cal-loway, Wm. Morely, and the hostess. Mrs. F. B. Robinson of Rocky Ford dam, was an invited guest. The D. D. S. club met at the home of Mrs. Walter Griffiths, Wednesday afternoon. A pleasant afternoon was spent in sewing, after which a two-course two-course luncheon was served to the following members, Mesdames Alta Hickman, Millie Harris, Ella Edwards, Lillian Atkin, Lillian Stonehocker, Arvella Lang, Iretta Neilson, Macel Horton, and the hostess. Mrs. J. S. Hickman was an invited guest. |
