Show HIGH SCHOOL NOTES In giving the report of the games which had been won by the Milford Atheltic club, they evidently overlooked overlook-ed the game played with the Milford High School Faculty in which they were defeated by quite a large score. The girls basketball team is now nearly ready to begin their games with the other teams of the several high schools around here. Their their first game played on any floor this year will be a practice game with Minersville Thursday. Mr. Baker has sent for an Opera to be put on by the two Glee clubs, the boys and the girls. The name of the Opera is not known as yet by the students. Pratticing will begin as soon as it is received. Both clubs are very interested in it and hope to make it a success. ! -.1S"1' The game played last Friday night between Milford and Delta ended with a very close score, Delta being the winning team by only one point. Delta was defeated at Delta and it was thought that Milford would trim them here. The next league game will be played play-ed at Milford, Friday, Feb. 4. Hinckley Hinck-ley being the opposing team. They have a fast team and the game is sure to be a very good one. Tiu- j.:it 1 a. x inc icaia fttiu jieeus uie support of all the students and the townspeople towns-people as well. In the Algebra objective test which Mr. Poulson gave Tuesday to the Algebra students, we found that according ac-cording to the standard which is 9, we rank high, having as our score average 12. Many of the students received re-ceived a score as high as 19 and 20 while there were only seven who fell below the standard. The seventh grade gave their -program Friday. We must say that although al-though they are the youngest class in school their program was one of the best given this year. It was thorough ly enjoyed by everyone. The classes will now begin over and give other programs according to their grade. The parents are cordially cordial-ly invited to attend these programs given every other Friday. The next one will be Friday the 11th. The Sophomores are working on a play, "Are You a Mason?" It is a comedy and from what the Sophs say it is very good. They intend to present pres-ent this play to the public soon. The Senior Girls Sorority were entertained en-tertained by Lu Zene Jennincrs and Jane Porter at the home of Mrs. Heaton Saturday, Jan. 19. After a very enjoyable evening the guests were served to a delirious luncheon. |
