SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAM LOSES BY 1 POINT i The Milford and Delta high school teams put- on a truly fast game in the first contest Saturday night, in which Milford went down to defeat by one score, which placed the two teams in a tie for cellar position, each having hav-ing played four and been victorious in only one. The final count was 17-16 17-16 for Delta. At the end of the first ; half the score stood 2 to 6 in Delta's favor. . The lineups were as follows: Milford Mil-ford Cochrane, r. f.; Murdock, 1. f.; Ahern, c; James, r. g.; Root, 1. g.; with Webb substituting for Murdock and Reese for Root. Delta Stape-ley, Stape-ley, r. f.; E. Stapeley, 1. f.; Dobson, c; Wicker, r. g.; R. Steele, 1. g.; Substitutions were Haeman for C. Stapeley, Jenkins for E. Stapeley and Bacon for Dobson. The Milford quintet will engage the Hinckley hi. in a game on the local floor tonight. |
