Show Perfect Drivers Great Menace in Large Cities The mediocre automobile driver must save the tratlic situation in our large cities today, says a traffic expert. ex-pert. The inferior and the perfect drivers driv-ers are causing all the difficulties and are responsible for accidents and traffic tieups. It is not difficult to understand how the inferior driver causes accidents to bis own and other machines, but the "perfect"'driver appears too perfect to be blamed. The "perfect" driver never gets Into In-to an accident himself. lie never violates vio-lates a traffic rule. He never gives vociferous traffic cops a chance to enjoy en-joy themselves at his expense. The "perfect" driver careens down the street just to and not exceeding the maximum traffic speed limit. Pedestrians Pe-destrians see hira a block away, and even if they have the right of way they hesitate to cross the street as the "perfect" driver speeds toward the crossing. However, he makes a "perfect" stop Just to and not beyond the danger line, breaking no traffic laws but frightening pedestrians so that they fear to cross the street while they have a chance. The "perfect" driver Is always right. He Is so absolutely and recklessly right that other drivers and pedestrians pedestri-ans fear him. He is the most disrupting dis-rupting element in the traffic situation. |
