Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Messinger and brother, Max Messinger, of Beav-j Beav-j er, were the dinner guests of their mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Messinger at the Miford Hotel Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. Broyles entertained at dinner at the Milford Cafe Sunday. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Casper Cas-per Root. Mrs. Douglas Fotheringhara went to Beaver Saturday and left Tuesday morning with her father, John Skinner Skin-ner and sister, Miss Grace Skinner, for Yellowstone park. They were accompanied ac-companied by their daughter and sister, Mrs. Wm. Ttate of Heber City. Mrs. May Ashworth of Roosevelt Hot Springs, spent Tuesday in town. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Ryan of Wa Wa Springs were in town Monday. A. B. Ballenger, agent for the Independent In-dependent Oil company, spent Sunday Sun-day and Monday here. E. L. LeFevre of Panguitch and V. H. Jolly of Tropic, salesmen for the Duluth Land Co., of Milford, were here on business Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Talbot came from Salt Lake City Wednesday to make their home here. Mrs. Talbot was formerly Miss Thelma Rogers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rogers of this place. The young people were married about the 9th of June in Salt Lake City. They were accompanied accom-panied by Miss Velma Edwards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwards, who left here about five years ago. Miss Edwards will be their guest for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Atkin, Mable Bradfield, Eva Bowman, Ronald Ron-ald Banks, Gene Turner, motored to the Hot springs Sunday. Harry Larsen of Salt Lake City, president of the Hal Oil company, spent several days here this week. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Jeffers returned return-ed the first port of the week from a two weeks' vacation spent in the eastern states. A convention of all the chairmen of the committees of Shop Employees Assaciation of the L. A. & S. L. R. R. is to be held Monday and Tuesday at Calente. Those going from here are Irvin Campbell, A. Kay, Ray Stan-cliff, Stan-cliff, J. ConCannon, Ralph Lemon1), W. J. Baker and Joseph Tribly. Mr. and Mrs. E. Bird left Saturday morning with Dr. Parrish for Salt Lake, where Mrs. Bird will undergo a medical examination. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Eaton, Mrs. Marvin Fox and daughter, Charlotte of Claremont, Cal., motored to Milford Mil-ford and are the guests at the Cates ranch at south Milford project. When they return on Friday Mrs. Wm. Cates and Mr. L'Uion Cates will accompany ac-company them as far as Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon. |
