Show WHEAT AND POTATO PRICES The U. S. Food Commission has placed a standard price on wheat. It is $2.20 per bushel for number one northern wheat at Chicago. Our wheat would be less the freight to point if the quality were the same. None of the Utah wheats are equal to the number one northern wheats. A comparative price for Utah wheats at Utah points would be from 5 1.70 to $1.90 per bushel, depending upon the grade and quality for flour. Prices for potatoes at Denver and Eastern points range be- tween 75c and $1.20 per bushel with only a moderate demand. Prices f. o. b. Milford for Beaver county potatoes at dig- ging time are being solicited, but none have been received thus far. It is usually a safe plan to market about one-half the potato crop at digging time and store the rest for early spring market. H. A. Christiansen, County Agri. Agent. |
