Show FEARFUL COST OF WAR. Allies Loose Forty-nine Warships and Teutons Lose Thirty. Berlin. Forty-nine warships, with an aggregate of 562,000 tons, have been lost by the entente allies during the war, according to statistics given out by the German admiralty, the figures fig-ures being brought up to June 30, last. Of this number, says the statement, state-ment, the British lost forty vessels with a tonnage of 4S5.000. The losses of the Teutonic allies are given in the statement as 30 warships war-ships of 162,000 tons in the aggregate. |
