Show NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC On and after Thursday, November 1st, the admission price to the Utah Theatre will be adults 20 cents, and children luc. The reason for this is 1 the War Tax- placed upon all theatres in the United States by the Govern- ment. The law covering motion pic-; pic-; ture theatres is that ONE CENT shall I be paid in each 10 cent admission j ticket sold. Two cents on each 15- cent or 20-cent ticker sold. In addi-; addi-; tion to the tax on admissions, an es-j es-j tra tax has been placed on all reels ; in active service each day, that will ' average a little over one cent on each : admission. Our firs plan was to place an extra ex-tra charge of one cent on the ten-cent ten-cent tickets and three cents on the hlteen-cent tickets. Four cents will not cover the extra tax, besides the bother of making penny change so we have decided not to make an extra ex-tra charge on the children or ten-cent ten-cent tickets, but to make a five-cent increase on adult tickets, which will just about even up our extra expense. ex-pense. We are sorry to have to make this extra charge for admission, but the Government figures that amusements are luxuries and that they should have to help carry the burden of the war. We hope to enjoy the same good patronage the good people of Milford have given our Theatre and we want to assure you that it shall always be our aim in the future as in the past to give you the very best pictures the market affords. Thanking you we beg to remain, Yours very truly, H. A. SIMS. |
