Show THIS SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD The Means-Anderson Company that will give the first number of the High School Lyceum Course on the night of the 16th inst. comes well recommended. The company is composed com-posed of three ladies, entertainers of charming presence and excellent ability abil-ity according to the press notices they have eeceived elsewhere. The following will give you ah idea of the true worth and- delight which this first number of the course will give: Edna Means, Entertainer Formerly Form-erly dean of the College of Oratory of Highland Park University, is more than an ordinary artist. She is a young woman of exceptional power and wide experience. Her mastery of her art, her charming manner and joyous good nature have won her audiences from. East to West. No one will ever forget the whistling whist-ling boy, the farmer who would go back to the, farm, the vagaries and winsomeness of the Dutch girl, and many other characterizations given by the reader. Miss Edna Means. The audience wept and laughed in quick transition under the 'influence and charm of her art perfectly rendered. Museotah, Kan. ' The work of Miss Edna Means deserves de-serves especial notice, it being the opinion of all that she was a "wonders" "won-ders" and her work was well worth three times the price of admission. With a glorious voice, a charming personality and an unusual mastery of her art, all present found Miss Means irresistible and she was repeatedly re-peatedly called back by an enthusiastic enthusi-astic audience that filled the large chapel. She does not try to win her audiences by pyrotechnical feats. For four years her splendid musicianship"" has enabled her to make a lasting impression with her listeners. She puts personality into her playing. She wins first by her personal charm. Then with her music she leads her audiences to increased in-creased delight. Miss Anderson is unusually versatile, and contributes largely to the program with her character songs. Miss Anderson, with her violin and her character work captivated the audience and several times the music so entranced her hearers the quietude was almost oppressive. Blytheville, Ark. Hilda Brady, Dramatic Soprano and Pianist With a voice of rare power and refreshing sweetness, has the gift of singing into the hearts as well as the ears of her audience. Though one of the younger singers on the platform she has stepped fnto a place of distinction and has the promise of a glorious, future. Miss Hilda Brady, soprano, has a voice of rare sweetness and purity, and her selection were of a class to show her powers in a very attractive light.
