Puffer and family, Isador Lessing and family, Ren Bowen and family, Lue Bowen, Warren Neil, s-en and Miss Ethel Nowers came -down from Beaver last Thursday evening ev-ening to meet Ross Stoney who returned re-turned that night from France. They will visit Mr. Barton's sister in Butte, Montana and also will visit relatives in Shelly Shel-ly Twin Falls, Idaho, and possibly will go to Yellowstone park before returning home. Capt. G. F. Bridges of the South Star Mining Co., Vice President and manager, opened up a new body of (ore in a defined vein. C. H. WVte who has been contracting on the South Star Consolidated mining C67 who is a practical mining man and states that the vein is continect, and Capt. Bridges is highly pleased and hinks there is no better showing in Beaver county. The committee appointed to raise Salvation Army fund: Mrs. D. W Smithson, Mrss Harrlis, Mrs. Sanders San-ders and Miss May Bowen, got busy at 10:.30 last Tuesday morning. Needless to add that inside of three hours, Milford, as usual, went over ov-er the top very gracefully. Mrs. Smithson who had the business district, dis-trict, returned with $125 in cas'i and about $50 more subscribed. The other ladies were equally successful suc-cessful in the different districts. The Gold Crown strikes ore again on the 400 foot level, and are shipping ship-ping a car this week. The company now has ore on all levels and will continue sinking besides dninir some developing along some nice fisrros they have crossed. Mr. George Ag-mis. Ag-mis. mining engineer, who was here Inst week, was very much enthused and will he here again in a few days to spend four or five days looking over the property.. |
