Show STAKE OFFICERS MEET The monthly meeting of the Beaver Bea-ver stake officers was held at the L. D. S. church Tuesday night. Such a big crowd was present that it was necessary to divide the meeting, the Mutual and Sunday school committees commit-tees going to the grammar school, while the Primary and Relief work committees remained at the meeting meet-ing house. Plans were made by the different differ-ent committees for the coming year, and then the following program was given at the meeting house: Piano Solo Elva Burns. Piano Duet Winnie Fernley and Lillian Tanner. Piano Solo Maurine Hanks. Reading Letha Schow. Address Jjakje (Tanner. After the program, lemonade and sandwiches were served. Dancing to accordian music, furnished by Charlie Schow, was enjoyed until midnight. About seventy-five visitors were present from Beaver as well as a large crowd of home folk. - Miss Laprele Carter is taking Mrs. Thomas' place in the post office, while the latter's little son is ill. The Kit-Ka't has installed another anoth-er new piano one that has real musical tone and makes you want to shake your feet. Miss Idonna White will take Miss Alta Edward's place at the telephone switchboard, when the former leaves next week. Miss Bernice Levi will take Miss White's place. Mrs. John Kirk and daughter, Delia, returned Monday night from a visit in Pleasant Grove. They were accompanied home for a visit by Miss Belva Kirk of Pleasant Grove. Miss Ida Burt, a nurse in the L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake, came over from Beaver Sunday, where she had been spending seven weeks with her parents, on her way hack to Salt Lake. Mrs. Woodhouse, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Harry Diehl at Beaver, was in Milford Sunday on her way to Provo. to visit her husband. hus-band. From Provo they went to their home In Big Pine, California. Ralph Lemmon and Miles White took a horseback ride up through the pass in the storm Sunday night, to find what caused the trouble on the power line. A. H. Dahle and family came over ov-er the first of the week from the Lexington mines In Nevada. Mrs. Dahle and the children went on to Salt Lake Wednesday morning and Mr. Dahle returned to the mines Fred Levi and family were down from Beaver Friday night to meet his son. Monte Levi, who was returning re-turning from army service. Jack Dolce left Friday night for Salt Lake. Charles Gustfason and family left Sunday for a visit In Los Angeles. While there Mr. Gustfason will look after repairs for his bakery which Is closed during his absence. Miss Mary Richards and Master Clyde Tanner went to Greenville on Monday to visit Mrs. Tate. They were accompanied home by Master Julian Tate, who had been spending a few days in Milford. Miss Alta Edwards will take her vacation from the telephone office and will leave Tuesday for a visit In Grand Junction, Colorado. Following Follow-ing hpr vacation she expects to go to T.ehl to attend school. Wm. Webb came down from Lynndyl Lyn-ndyl Sunday and was accompanied home hy his children. Helen. Edna and Kenneth, who had heen visiting visit-ing their sister. Mrs. George Harris Har-ris for several days. Mrs. J. Wilson and son Cecil returned re-turned to their ranch near Lund. Sunday, after visiting here with Mr. Wilson since the first of July. They will leave Lund In a few days to spend the rest of the summer at SanBernardlno. |
