The visitors enjoyed the exhibits as displayed in the respective rooms and departments. Especially attractive attrac-tive was the one displayed by Miss Nutter. We feel that the girls in the sewing department are to be commended com-mended for their splendid accomplish ments. and that Miss Nutter has shown her worth as an instructor in that department. The visitors saw other things worth while in other departments, and went away with the feeling that the school on the hill really stands for' something. The vaudeville was attended by a majority of the town peop'e and pronounced pro-nounced one of the greatest successes success-es and best entertainments given in ;town this year. Miss Margetts. who 'has had supervisory charge of the entertainment, en-tertainment, deserves special mention as does Mrs. O. E. Adkins, who trained train-ed the girls in the snlendid dancing numbers, and Miss Keener, "director yif the farce "Peck vs. Peck" Each of the dancing numbers was a delight to the eye and a decided 'nroof 'that one does not have to attend at-tend the large vaudeville circuits to witness a high class type of dancing. The atrobatic stunts by Elwood Jefferson and Charles Glenn were well received, and the musical numbers, num-bers, both sinking and instrumental, were of a decidedlv high order. "Peck vs. Peck." was very well received. re-ceived. The co-operation of many of our townspeonle was much to make the entire day's activities a success. |
