NOTES A basket ball game was played here lasi Friday night between be-tween the Murdo k Academy and the 13. A. C. teams. Although it was not a league game, much enthusiasm was shown on both s' des. The iirst half of the game was a hard struggle between be-tween the two teams, resulting in a score of 10 to 9 in favor of the B. A. C, bi t during the second half, the Murdock boys seemed to have lost interest. The final score was 38 to 13 in the Aggies favor. The fact that the semester examinations exam-inations are not far off causes many of the students !o wear a tired look on their faces. After tt.3 gane Friday night, a dance was given in the auditorium. All who attendee! seemed to have had a good time, as it was the first student stu-dent body dance since the holidays. Some of our popular society gentlemen gen-tlemen are not satisfied with one 'party a week. L.nd as a result we find that a number of them have invited in-vited their lady friends to attend a dancing party and chicken supper, which was prepared solely by these gentlemen Satur lay night. LLOYD WHITE. B. C. U. 8. NOTES Gove "nnieiiUil Court was held Tuesday and three of the "fair oes" will spend an hour in the "quiet room." Nuff said. No legislation will take place this week owin? to the big rush on the final exams, but the council will meet the first o; next week to take up important n liters. Since ths law concerning the "hard-shelled fr lit" was passed, the building is already beginning to show the desired effects. A clean school building is one of the main planks on the platform of the superior super-ior party and they intend to keep hot on the trail of dirt so as to keep the school on the highest possible standard. Social The basket ball boys returned from Hink!ey wiere they played the 'first game of tlie series, and although al-though they did not bring back the glorious banner of victory, they came back not a bit discouraged, in fact, in bottsr spirits titan ever. Any one who aitends the games to be played on tie home floor, will witness seme of the most exciting amateur games that have ever been 'played in Milforl and all Milfordites should heartily support the games just the same as you support the ball games, because these games advertise ad-vertise your town. Remember, the first game, Murdock vs. Milford, Friday, January 19. Come o'ut and yell. |
