Show PIANO MAN AND COAL FIELDS A. W. Windberg returned this week from a trip into Iron and Washington counties. Mr. Windberg is the "piano man." He sold several Baldwin pianos on the trip and incidentally inci-dentally picked up a few shares in the new company organized to develop devel-op the coal fields between Minersville Miners-ville and Parowan. He brought back a sample of the coal which is in the window of Burns & Bird and which is pronounced to be the best grade of coal for blacksmithing and other purposes yet found in this state. The stock has advanced rapidly rap-idly and will doubtless go higher soon, as there is a considerable scramble scram-ble for it by local people who hove examined the claims. Strange as it may seem a newspaper man seems to own the largest number of shares of this mine. The newspaper man is Alex. Rollo of Parowan. The coal contains sulphur. Seven thousand dollars' worth of work has boon done. The vein is seven foot wide and two foet of it is of very superior quality. The mine is located twenty-six miles from Minersville In whut Is known as Parowan Cap. -i |
