Show A MORE APPROPRIATE BOUQUET In the light of the revelations made by the exposed plot of the German government to incite Mexico and Japan to war with the United States and to continue her ruthless, dastardly submarine warfare upon neutrals and innocent women and children on the high seas, it would seem that instead of loading Count von Bernstorff and his lady with flowers and feasting and toasting them at banquets before their departure in safe convoy for their native land, it would have been fitting to have attached an infernal machine with time fuse to have announced its presence upon his "safe" arrival at the home dock among his admiring friends. Such treachery and deliberate plotting against this country by the government of Germany, Ger-many, while outwardly appearing to be friendly and trying try-ing to keep the United States neutral, ordering our unarmed un-armed ships of commerce whether loaded with f oodi for starving neutral nations, or Red Cross nurses an,d medical medi-cal aid for the suffering and mutilated soldiery- of the warring nations off the high seas, arbitrarily assuming the position of distators to the whole world; of nations whether at war or not, is most dispicable cruelty selfish and almost unforgivable. The exposure- of this vile plot : will arouse the American nation as nothing, else has ever: done in this grave crisis. n - , , |
