Miss Moore will remain in Mil'ford for two or three weeks Pvt. Harold W. Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Dalton of Minersville, Min-ersville, has been discharged from the army at the Fort Douglas separation sep-aration center. Pvt. Dalton served 24 months in the States with the 104th A A F Base Unit, and is authorized to wear the American Theater ribbon, the Good Conduct medal and the Victory ribbon. Miss Mary Eldridge of Salt Lake City was a visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Eldridge during the race meet and is returning to the capital city on Friday with Miss Jean Eldridge, who will visit her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eldridge. Max B. Roberts, B 3c, was discharged dis-charged June 7 at the naval separation sep-aration center, St. Louis. He is a son of the late Carl E. and Jennie Roberts. He entered the service in August, 1944. Max was in Tokyo Bay when the peace treaty was signed. He served on the USS Botetourt, and wears the Asiatic-Pacific, Philippine Liberation, Liber-ation, American theater and Victory Vic-tory ribbons. He is now living with his brother, Alton Roberts, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coon of Compton, Calif., and daughter, Donna Lee, have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy White parents of Mrs, Coon. After sttending a family picnic at Pon-derosa, Pon-derosa, at which 22 relatives were present, Mr. Coon returned to the California city. Mrs. Coon will leave for her home on Saturday. Mr. Asa Dixon and Glenn McKay Mc-Kay of Los Angeles were guests of Mr. Bob Crane at the Horn Silver hotel during the race meet. An "okl li'iier," Jack Carton of Greenville, 82 years of ae, attended attend-ed the race meet last week. Mr. Barton is said to have rode in the first race in Milford, and been the winner. Mr. Lynn Roberts and two son:, Bob and Jack, of Minersville, are spending their vacation at Yellowstone Yellow-stone Park. |
