Show Fire At Fire House Local telephone patrons who utilized uti-lized their phones Wednesday morning to learn the location of the fire for which the siren had sounded, sound-ed, were rather flabergasted, to say the least, when they were told that it was at the fire house. But that's just where it was and, but for the fact that it was noticed, not-iced, the alarm turned in, and the call responded to in the usual swift manner of the fire lads, it might not have been possible to get the engine out or anything much done toward saving the entire building, part of which is used for dances and as a community meeting place. In fact, it might have been impossible impos-sible to have saved the Carlton ! home, the Masonic hall and other nearby property. The fire seems to have started under the floor in the rear of the building and had gutted a partition parti-tion wall before being extinguished. Tiff |
