Show Mrs. George Moore was a Salt Lake visitor a few days this week. Mrs. Agnes Palmer of Manti, mother of Ross Palmer, is visiting at the Palmer home for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Dan S. Hutching of Salt Lake were guests at the Roy Coleman home several days the past week. Miss Julia Hendrickson, librarian librari-an for the Cedar City school sys-ten, sys-ten, spent the week-end visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hendrickson. Mr. and Mrs. 0. C. Koch and Mr. and Mrs. George Litchfield, driving driv-ing their respective cars, were among those making enjoyable trips to Cedar City Sunday over - the 60-mile short cut route by way of Minersville. The Pierian club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Roy White sr. The lesson was on "Should We Limit the Rights of Political Groups with Alien Ties". After the meeting lunch was served to Mrs. Kd Bardsley, Mrs. Vena Wilson, Wil-son, Mrs. William Dawson, Mrs. J. D. Johnston and Mrs. 0. C. Koch. Mrs. Douglas Ryan and daughter daugh-ter Virginia and son Douglas, were called to Draper this week on account ac-count of the death of a niece of Mrs. Ryan's. Mrs. Lois Waddingham returned Thursday morning from Ogden and Brigham City where she offi-cated offi-cated at installations of 1939 officers of-ficers for Ladies Auxiliaries to V. F. W. posts. Madge Moody and Elaine Kirk, who are attending school at the B. Y. U., and Margaret Moore and Tom Hanney, who are attending school at the U. of U., were here last week-end to attend the Mil-ford Mil-ford high school Junior prom. Mrs. Ed Peterson and little granddaughter, Bolbby Jean Hutch-ins, Hutch-ins, returned home Sunday from a few days visit in Salt Lake.' While there they visited with Mrs. Mattie Fritzgerald, a former resident of Milford, who is seriously in Salt Lake. Mrs. Lois Waddingham, department depart-ment president, Ladies Auxiliary to V. F. W., department of Utah, went to Cedar City Sunday for inspection in-spection and installation of officers for 1939. Mrs. Agnes Kanert, department de-partment flajg bearer, and Mrs. 1 Nona Decker, department secre- ' tary, accompanied her. I Mrs. W. H. Post was hostess to ' her bridge club Tuesday night with Mrs. K. B. Coon winning the first high score prize, Mrs. R. W. Ache-son Ache-son the second high score prize .and Mrs. Thomas Gerrard the third high score prize. Others present were Mrs. Harold Cline, Mrs. Hubert Hu-bert Ingram, Mrs. George Jefferson Jeffer-son and Gertrude Dewey. Charles Anderson, retired merchant mer-chant of Edinburgh, Scotland, arrived ar-rived in Milford Monday for a few weeks visit at the home of his sister, Mrs. William Cochrane. Mr. Anderson has made several visits to this country and before he returns re-turns to Scotland he intends to visit several places in the United States, including the Worlds fair ; in San Francisco. M Farrell Peterson, who has been enjoyii:g an extended visit in Mil-f-rd, I f t Tuesday to resume employment em-ployment in Portland. Mrs. Eaii Stonehi.cker was hostess host-ess to her bridge club at her home Monday night with Leah Richards winning the hitrh points prize, Mrs. Lloyd Koliler the hifh honors prize and Alice Wynaught the consolation con-solation prize. Others present were Gladys Coleman, Mrs. R. R. Shannon Gertrude Dewey, Mrs. Rupert Ingram and Mrs. Dan S. Hutchings. Mrs. Evelyn Brannon entertained entertain-ed members of her club Monday night. The evening was spent playing cards and sewing, after which dainty refreshments were served. Those present were Errma Griffiths,, Theone Stonehocker, Verna Tomsik), Thelma Gillins, Vvs Baxter, Delia Glenn, Lucy Reece, Elma Voorhees and Iona Baxter. A typesetting mistake in the ad of the Milford Electric company last week did grcss injustice to this enterprising firm in their efforts ef-forts to get before the public the big bargain they were offering in the way of a Kelvinator washer and twin rinse tubs. Price and everything ev-erything are printed correctly in this issue, however, -and we suggest sug-gest you read their ad and act at once as the offer is being repeated re-peated for this coming week.
