Show V O.E.S. Grand Officers I) Visit Milford Chapter Mrs. Edna D. Whitmeyer of Ogden, worthy grand matron, Order of Eastern Star, and her associate as-sociate grand officers, made their official visitation to Ruth chapter No. 6 on Tuesday evening, April 3. A banquet was served at 6:30 o'clock in the Masonic hall, the tables being very attractively decorated in a spring motif. Covers were laid for forty. The regular business meeting of the chapter followed, at which time the floor work was most effectively exemplified. ex-emplified. Mrs. Whitmeyer was well received re-ceived and proved to be a woman of the finest ideals and practical efficiency. In addition to Mrs. Whitmeyer, the grand officers who made the visitation were: Henry G. Blumenthal, worthy grand pat. ron; Albbie Schraga, associate grand matron; Robert M. Oldroyd, associate grand patron; Margret C. Rohn, grand conductress, and Virginia Blumenthal, grand Esther. Mrs. Laura Cates and Mrs. Kay Sumner from Cedar City came for the visitation, while Mrs. Estella Oldroyd accompanied her husband from Mt. Pleasant. This was the most important meeting of the chapter year, and was characterized by a fine fraternal fra-ternal feeling and sincere appreciation appre-ciation of the good fellowship existing ex-isting fn the order. Mrs. Susan Baxter, as worthy matron of the local chapter, had charge of all arrangements. a |
