Show Casaba Champs Dinner Guests of Milford Lions j Members of the Milford high : school main team and the five re-i re-i serves who will represent the Bea-'ver-Millard division of Region six i in the approaching state basketball basket-ball tournament, together with their coach and athletic manager, were dinner guests Wednesday evening of the Milford Lions club, and the event was made an un-forgetable un-forgetable one by the splendid spirit prevailing. Coach Floyrt Kotter, Athletic Manager Arleigh Campeau and the following players were present: Captain Jess McKnight, Mc-Knight, Dan Gillies, Isidore Gillins, Gil-lins, Allen Bingham No... ' - -liams, Doug Kirk, Au. tin Williai,:.-, Bud James, Jim Hickman and Floyd Carter. v Lion President J. M. Hughes presided at the meeting, the first one for March, and inspirational talks were give by Lion E. R. Moody, principal of the Milford high school; Lion J. C. Smith, president, of the board of education; educa-tion; Lion Sam Cline and the coach and members of the team. Ivan McKnight, newly electeu member of the board of county commissioners was present as a guest of the club and he was urged to be present as often as possi. -e &nd to join the club if he caret! to do so. Present at the meeting were Lions J. M. Hughes, Sam Cline, F. R. Gaines, J. C. Root, Bob Tom-ysik, Tom-ysik, O. O: Koch, A. A. Mclntyre, Dick Johnson, Laurence Peterson. (M. H. Pool, Thomas Gerrard, La-Mar La-Mar Outzen, P. B. Fisher, D. E. Kirk, E. R. Moody, J. R. Murdock jr., J. C. Smith, David S. Williams. Principal Moody impressed on the hoys the thought that they n longer represented only their school and town; in going to the tournament they represent bi'th Beaver and Millard counties an I no doubt have the best wishes .01 most of the people of all sections. He told of receiving a letter from the principal of the Delta high school expressing the thought that jthe hest team had won and wish-ling wish-ling the Milford boys every success, i M |
