Show Local Girls Return From Logan Trip W. W. Farrer, Wayne Craw, Ruth Jones and Helen Fothering-ham Fothering-ham returned last Sunday afternoon after-noon from Logan where they attended at-tended a 4-H club leaders' training 6chool at the Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural college. All of them reported report-ed a highly educational and enjoyable enjoy-able time. Mr. Farrer said it would be a fine thing if everyone could attend such a school to learn the many new things in agriculture the college has to teach. He stated that the only bad feature of the entire trip was the slippery condition con-dition of the roads in the northern end of the state, which made driving driv-ing extremely difficult. Wayne Craw took courses in beef and swine husbandry while at tbe school and was greatly pleased with the program. Miss Jones and Miss Fothering-ham Fothering-ham studied sewing and cooking, respectively. Miss Jones stated that she learned considerable about pattern fitting and received instructions in making the various stitches and seams, j Miss Fotheringham soon felt at i home around all the electrical equipment in the college kitchen and said she leared how to prepare the various dishes which a 4-H ! club group is expeoted to make 1 during their year's program. ; All four of the club leaders ex-i ex-i pressed their interest in the recreational re-creational classes led by Miss Ella Gardner from the United States department of agriculture. During Dur-ing these periods they were instructed in-structed in leading recreational groups. |
