Show Use Care in Buying Your Spring Coat The casual practical coat that looks as though it will stand up under un-der the test of being worn more than one season is the kind that is selling best. Since practicality is the first consideration, and since most every woman is wearing a suit, the coat that is most in demand de-mand is the boxy type that easily slips over a suit. Chesterfields in various types lead in the mode. For the most part, the trend is toward quality apparel, and the preference among women is the conservative coat made of dependable dependa-ble all wool weave. More navy coats are selling than usual, and these are in youthful straight lines, as a rule. However, there are some dressier models that are making appeal to well dressed women that are detailed de-tailed with navy faille revers, with graceful lines stressed in semi-fit-led versions. So as to inject a note of cheer into the present scene many coats are frankly colorful. The pastels are in demand, also powder blue, navy, red and lilac shades are good. There is a wide demand for white among the young set. Both coats and suits are wanted in pastel tweeds and Shetland wools, also wool twills and all wool fleeces. |
