Mrs. Mathilda Johnson arrived Wednesday morning from Salt Lake City to look after her property pro-perty here and to visit at the home of Mrs. Marie Fonts. Bishop and Mrs. K. H. Bird have returned home from Ogden, where they wore called by the death of a grandchild, the five-day old baby of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bird. ; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ryan and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nordquist, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Ryan's sister, Mrs. Jane Layton of Salt Lake, were week-end visitors at Las Vegas and Boulder dam. Clay W. Sanford arrived Tuesday Tues-day evening from his home in Lincoln, Lin-coln, Illinois, to .visit with his brother, bro-ther, Louis A. Sanford, and family. fami-ly. He is a guest at the Milford hotel. Mrs. Helen Bird Anderson left the fore part of the week to. join at Fountain Green her husband, Lee Anderson, local grade school teacher, who was called to that place by the fatal illness of his father. Mrs. W. Wayne Stoker and children chil-dren left the latter part of the week for their home at Winchester Bay, Oregon, after a visit with Mrs. Stoker's mother, Mrs. Steve Stoker, and other relatives and friends. Miss Norma White entertained her bridge club at her home last Thursday night with the following gilds present: Lois Williams, Mary Banks, Margaret Cochrane, Beth Coleman, Sarah Pool, Mildred Kil-lam Kil-lam and Ina Smith. Mrs. J. J. Keough has so far recovered re-covered from her major operation at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake as to permit Mr. Keough to return to his work as hrakeman. Mrs. Keough is able to sit up some and partake of food, which is considered con-sidered as excellent progress in her case. Mrs. J. R. Murdock was hostess to her bridge club last Friday night with Mrs. Gene Kirk receiving receiv-ing the prize for high points and Mrs. Myron Lewis the prize for hi"h honors. Those present were Mesdmes Gene Kirk, Jack Weston, Wes-ton, George Rogers, Myron Lewis, LaMar Out'en. George Moore and David S. Williams. |
