Show Milford C. C. C. Camp Notes By Leon G. Kidd Soft Ball The camp soft-ball team played the Milford high school faculty and the high school a 4-4 double-header double-header at the Union Pacific ball park. The faculty game was played play-ed two extra innings with the hope of breaking the tied score with no results, and the game against the high school was played three overtime over-time periods with the same 4-4 tie. Both of the games were full of pep and every player seemed to do his best to win. Dark Room Completed The dark room for the photography photo-graphy class has been completed and the boys will soon be able to develop their own pictures. Plans are underway to use a part of number four barracks for class rooms. This building has not been occupied since the boys left at the end of their enrollment period. The new boys seem to be quite interested in the animal life here in Utah. It is a common sight to see them playing with horned toads and other small animals. Let's hope they don't go to being pals with rattlers. Captain Nate, district inspector from Fort Douglas, paid us a visit on Friday, April 24. There are several light cases of influenza here in camp, but as yet none of the boys is seriously ill. Earl Yocum and Chester B. Hickn were discharged this week to accept employment. George W. and Randall Kerfoot attended the Helldorado celebration celebra-tion at Las Vegas last week-end. Both reported a wonderful time. |
